THIS IS WHAT I STAND FOR

' VEDANTA TEACHES US THE UNITY OF ALL BEINGS. '

VEDANTA PHILOSOPHY

  • IN MY TEACHING & TRAINING, AS WELL AS THE WAY I ENCOUNTER LIFE, I TRY TO FOLLOW THE BASIC PRINCIPLES OF VEDANTA PHILOSOPHY

  • VEDANTA IS AN ANCIENT INDIAN PHILOSOPHY STEMMING FROM THE UPANISHADS THAT DATES BACK 2,500 TO 5,000 YEARS

  • AT ITS CORE IS AN EXISTENTIAL SEARCH FOR ABSOLUTE TRUTH. THE END OF THIS SEARCH REPRESENTS THE COMPLETION OF ALL KNOWLEDGE

' TAT TWAM ASI ' - THAT YOU ARE

CENTRAL IDEA

  • THE CENTRAL IDEA OF ADVAITA VEDANTA PHILOSOPHY IS NON-DUALITY, UNITY OF ALL EXISTENCE

  • TAT TWAM ASI – YOU ARE THAT

  • THIS MEANS THAT THE HIGHER SELF – IN ITS MOST PURE AND NATURAL STATE – IS PARTIALLY OR TOTALLY IDENTICAL TO ABSOLUTE REALITY (BRAHMAN)

  • KNOWLEDGE (JANA) ABOUT THIS FACT LEADS TO THE STATE OF ENLIGHTMENT (MOKSHA) OR ETERNAL LIBERATION

' WHEN ALL THE SENSES ARE STILLED, WHEN THE MIND IS AT REST,
WHEN THE INTELLECT WAVERS NOT - THEN, SAY THE WISE, IS REACHED THE HIGHEST STATE.
THIS CALM OF THE SENSES AND THE MIND HAS BEEN DEFINDED AS YOGA.
HE WHO ATTAINS IT IS FREED FROM DELUSION. '
